1. CA Course Duration After 10th

a. Join 11th and 12th with Commerce Stream

  • Goal: Build a strong foundation in commerce subjects.

b. Register for CA Foundation

  • When to Register: After completing 10th, students can register for the CA Foundation course. However, they can appear for the exam only after completing 12th.

  • Exams: Conducted twice a year, in May and November.

c. Complete 12th Standard

  • Eligibility: Students become eligible to appear for the CA Foundation exams after passing the 12th standard.

2. CA Course Duration After 12th

Students who have completed their 12th standard in any stream can pursue the CA course. The process is as follows:

a. Register for CA Foundation

  • Eligibility: Passed 12th standard from a recognized board.
  • Course Duration: 4 months of study before the exams.
  • Exams: Held in May and November.

b. CA Intermediate

  • Eligibility: After passing the CA Foundation exam, students can register for the CA Intermediate course.
  • Course Duration: 8 months of study before the exams.
  • Exams: Conducted twice a year, in May and November.

c. Articleship Training

  • Duration: 3 years of practical training under a practicing Chartered Accountant.
  • When to Start: After passing either one or both groups of CA Intermediate.

d. CA Final

  • Eligibility: Completion of CA Intermediate and 2.5 years of Articleship.
  • Course Duration: Study for at least 6 months before the exams.
  • Exams: Held in May and November.

3. CA Course Duration After Graduation

Graduates can directly enter the CA Intermediate level through the Direct Entry Scheme. Here’s the pathway:

a. Register for CA Intermediate (Direct Entry)

  • Eligibility: Graduates with a minimum of 55% marks in commerce or 60% in other streams.
  • Exemption: No need to appear for the CA Foundation exam.
  • Course Duration: 8 months of study before the exams.

b. Articleship Training

  • Duration: 3 years of practical training.
  • When to Start: After 9 months of practical training, students are eligible to appear for the Intermediate exams.

c. CA Final

  • Eligibility: Completion of CA Intermediate and 2.5 years of Articleship.
